We Need Experienced AP Level Academic, SAT and ACT Tutors!

Achieve Tutorials is an outstanding private tutorial company looking for truly exceptional tutors to join our growing family in the Los Angeles region.

We want only experienced, energetic, charismatic tutors who can cover intensive subject matter at the high school level, including SAT and ACT preparation.

You must LOVE helping students grow academically and achieve their best.

Our tutors meet with individual students in the students' homes, and often work with the same students for 2, 3, even 5 years. Sessions are usually scheduled when students are available -- afternoons, evening and weekends.

Requirements:

You MUST have a minimum 5 years teaching or tutoring experience in AT LEAST ONE of the following categories. The ideal candidates are experts at two or more of these subjects and are familiar with the curriculum at Los Angeles area private and public schools:

• All SAT I sections: math, critical reading and writing (We're looking for an individual with experience teaching all 3 sections. We don't hire teachers who only teach one or two sections.)

• All ACT sections: English, Math, Reading, Science and Writing (the optional essay) (We're looking for an individual with experience teaching all 5 sections. We don't hire teachers who only teach one or two sections.)

• All ISEE sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement and the Essay (We're looking for an individual with experience teaching all 5 sections. We don't hire teachers who only teach one or two sections.)

• AP level Physics (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

• AP level Chemistry (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

• AP level Biology (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

• AP level US and World History (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

• AP level Math (through Calculus) (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

• AP level Spanish (SAT Subject Test experience a plus)

In addition, you must have:

• A bachelor's or higher degree from a top university
• A record of academic success
• Reliable transportation
• A willingness to drive reasonable distances
• A commitment to be accessible to your students
• A true and evident passion for helping students learn

Our regional students are located throughout the Los Angeles region, but we also offer online tutorials through our online Achieve Classroom.

We WILL conduct an extensive background check and contact references before hiring anyone.

What We Offer:
This is a part-time opportunity, with flexible hours throughout the school year (mostly evening and weekends, depending on student schedules). 

Compensation is extremely competitive, starting at $50 per hour or more, depending on experience. Tutors who produce outstanding results and maintain excellent client relationships are rewarded with generous and frequent pay increases.

We reimburse your mileage on all miles above 15 miles per day.

While we hire only experience SAT, ACT and ISEE tutors, we train all new test prep tutors to our high standards using our methods and materials.
